Broad Ripple and Butler Tarkington

Located about six miles north of Downtown Indianapolis, these neighborhood have a reputation for being socially, economically, and ethnically diverse.  Broad Ripple is home to many locally owned restaurants, art galleries, boutiques and specialty shops.  Broad Ripple prides itself on diversity.  Within a few blocks you can find food for every taste including Chinese, Indiana, Cajun, Middle Eastern, Italian, French, English, Japanese and Mediterranean.  And, for the outdoor enthusiasts you will find direct access to the Monon Trail, biking lanes/paths and parks.  Butler Tarkington is home to Butler University.
